Assistant Librarian. In order to be considered for appointment or promotion to the rank of Assistant Librarian the candidate must have a record of successful performance as a General Librarian during which the candidate has demonstrated a mastery of the skills and techniques of librarianship; evidence of effectiveness of professional performance; and evidence of the capacity to develop and extend professional, subject and management expertise as appropriate. The candidate should have a record of: A formal program of study and research in library and information science and/or a relevant subject field in addition to the minimum academic requirements for appointment, or relevant experience judged to be of equal value; some evidence of scholarly contributions in the form of publications and/or presentations. Active participation in the affairs of the library, University and profession, or community service, where the individual has made an essentially nonremunerative contribution by virtue of special professional/academic competence. This may include participation in professional organizations; evidence of contributions to the library, the University and the profession through participation on committees, task forces, study groups, etc. Demonstrated promise of extended range of research or professional activity or library service in the future.
Assistant Librarian. The workday consists of eight (8) hours, plus ½ hour unpaid lunch. Total paid days: 195 days plus nine (9) holidays for a total of 204 days. Middle School Librarian Assistant: Seven and one-half (7-1/2) hour workday, plus ½ hour unpaid lunch for 185 workdays plus nine (9) holidays for 194 days total.
Assistant Librarian. A master's degree in library science, information science, or information studies from an accredited ALA institution or an equivalent graduate degree acceptable to recommending authorities in an area specifically related to library functions plus two years of full-time professional library experience in a college, university, or research library;
Assistant Librarian. The normal work week during the school year shall be forty (40) hours per week, eight (8) hours per day. The normal work week during the summer time shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week, seven (7) hours per day. The Assistant Librarian shall be entitled to two (2) fifteen minute relief periods and also a duty free, half-hour lunch period.
Assistant Librarian. Master’s degree in library or information science from a program accredited by the American Library Association; or
Assistant Librarian. The criteria for the rank of Assistant Librarian are possession of an ALA accredited master's degree in library or information science and evidence of an ability to advance along professional lines.

  • Assistant Professor An Assistant Professor is a member of a Faculty of the University who shall ordinarily have the following minimum qualifications: (a) A doctoral degree; (b) Aptitude for teaching university students. The doctoral requirement may be waived if the Candidate has a record of suitable teaching, scholarship as defined in Article 1.1(n); or, in lieu of such a record, has professional qualifications and experience to enable him/her to make an appropriate academic contribution to the University.

  • Assistant Treasurers and Assistant Secretaries The assistant treasurers and assistant secretaries shall perform such duties as shall be assigned to them by the treasurer or the secretary, respectively, or by the chairman and chief executive officer, the president or the Management Committee.

  • Assistant Secretaries Except as may be otherwise provided in this Agreement, Assistant Secretaries, if there are any, shall perform such duties and have such powers as from time to time may be assigned to them by the Member, the President, any Vice President, if there are any appointed, or the Secretary, and in the absence of the Secretary or in the event of his disability or refusal to act, shall perform the duties of the Secretary, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the Secretary.

  • Distant Work Employees who are in receipt of Living Away from Home Allowance will be eligible for the allowances provided for in this clause, subject to Appendix H– Living Away from Home Allowance.

  • Assistant Treasurer The Assistant Treasurer, or if there shall be more than one, the Assistant Treasurers in the order determined by the Trustees (or if there be no such determination, then in the order of their election), shall, in the absence of the Treasurer or in the event of his inability or refusal to act, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Treasurer and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Trustees may from time to time prescribe.

  • Assistant Secretary The Assistant Secretary, or if there be more than one, the Assistant Secretaries in the order determined by the Trustees (or if there be no determination, then in the order of their election), shall, in the absence of the Secretary or in the event of his inability or refusal to act, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Secretary and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Trustees may from time to time prescribe.

  • Secretary; Assistant Secretary The Secretary shall record all proceedings of the Shareholders and the Trustees in books to be kept therefor, which books or a copy thereof shall be kept at the principal office of the Trust. In the absence of the Secretary from any meeting of the Shareholders or Trustees, an Assistant Secretary, or if there be none or if he or she is absent, a temporary secretary chosen at such meeting shall record the proceedings thereof in the aforesaid books. Any Assistant Secretary shall have such duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or the President.

  • Secretary and Assistant Secretaries The secretary shall record all proceedings of the shareholders and the Trustees in books to be kept therefor, which books shall be kept at the principal office of the Trust. In the absence of the secretary from any meeting of shareholders or Trustees, an assistant secretary, or if there be none or he or she is absent, a temporary clerk chosen at the meeting shall record the proceedings thereof in the aforesaid books.

  • Treasurer; Assistant Treasurer The Treasurer shall be the chief financial and accounting officer of the Trust, and shall, subject to the provisions of the Declaration of Trust and to any arrangement made by the Trustees with a custodian, investment adviser, sub-adviser or manager, or transfer, shareholder servicing or similar agent, be in charge of the valuable papers, books of account and accounting records of the Trust, and shall have such other duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or by the President. Any Assistant Treasurer shall have such duties and powers as may be designated from time to time by the Trustees or the President.

  • Assistant Treasurers The Assistant Treasurers will, in the absence or disability of the Treasurer, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the Treasurer and will perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Managers may from time to time prescribe.
