Accident-Related Provisions. 12.5.1 Where an employee is incapacitated as a result of a work accident and that employee is on earnings related compensation, then the employer agrees to supplement the employee’s compensation by 20% of base salary during the period of incapacitation. This payment shall be taken as a charge against Xxxx Leave up to the extent of the employee’s paid sick leave entitlement. The employer may agree to reimburse employees for treatment and other expenses or for financial disadvantage incurred as a result of a work related accident. This agreement will be on a case by case basis.
