Accrual of Sick Leave. a. Forty (40) Hour Work Week: Employees working on a classified or probationary basis in classes which have a forty (40) hour basic work week shall earn sick leave credit at the rate of five (5) hours per biweekly pay period or major fraction thereof, computed on the basis of calendar days of actual service.
