Common use of Accumulation Clause in Contracts

Accumulation. An employee may accumulate vacation leave credits to a maximum of one- hundred and sixty hours. Any vacation credits in excess of one-hundred and sixty hours will be cancelled. However, in the event an employee is unable to take vacation leave due to no fault of the employee, the employee may “carry” the excess for ninety calendar days.
