ACTIVITY DAYS. A Long Occasional Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a Professional Activity Day will be paid for the day and will be required to participate in the scheduled professional activity sessions. An Occasional Teacher not meeting the conditions in above may attend, without pay, scheduled Professional Activity Days arranged by the Board. An Occasional Teacher shall, upon request, have access to the Board’s in-service programmes on a voluntary basis without pay. The Board shall endeavour to provide professional development opportunities for Occasional Teachers.

ACTIVITY DAYS. An employee shall be paid for the Professional Activity Days and shall be required to participate in the scheduled professional activity sessions.
ACTIVITY DAYS. The Board shall provide information to the Bargaining Unit President about the professional development activities provided by the Board. A Professional Activity Day shall not interrupt the continuity of an occasional teaching assignment. A Long Term Occasional Teacher who is required to teach for a period of three (3) or more consecutive months as substitute for the same teacherwill be paid for a ProfessionalActivity Daythat falls within that assignment and will be required to participate in the scheduled professional activity sessions. An Occasional Teacher may attend on a voluntary basis and without pay, scheduled Professional Activity Days arranged by the Board. Requests to attend shall be in writing to the Principal at least fifteen (15) teaching days before the scheduled Professional Activity Day and shall be granted subject to the availability of space.
ACTIVITY DAYS. An individual school, however, is not precluded from scheduling activity days which may affect the lunch period. The school administration will consult with staff on the scheduling of these activity days.

  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS 25.01 The Employer shall provide information to the Union about the professional development activities provided by the Board.

  • Pay Days The Employer shall pay salaries and wages every second Friday in accordance with Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of this Agreement. On each pay day each employee shall be provided with an itemized statement of wages, deductions and accruals. Payment shall be made by way of deposit to the employee's bank. Rates of pay will be set according to the Joint Job Evaluation Maintenance Procedures as set out in Letter of Understanding #1 and attached to this Agreement.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

  • Business Days If any time period for giving notice or taking action hereunder expires on a day which is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday in the state in which the Company’s chief executive office is located, the time period shall be automatically extended to the business day immediately following such Saturday, Sunday or holiday.

  • Days Unless otherwise specifically indicated to the contrary, the word "days" as used in this Lease shall mean and refer to calendar days.

  • Snow Days If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, and if a disaster due to weather is declared by the Governor or the Grand Traverse County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the employee at the employee's option may take a days leave without pay or work on a pass day to make up the lost day, or may utilize an accumulated sick leave day or vacation day.
