Teaching Days Sample Clauses

Teaching Days. Teacher contract days shall number one hundred eighty-five (185) days, one hundred eighty (180) while students are in attendance. There will be two (2) evening parent conferences each year. One day of the 185 contract days shall be a non-work day to compensate teachers for the two parent conference evenings. The number of days was not bargained and is only included for informational purposes.

These additional days will be used as 2 days for school site planning/meetings as directed by the principal, .5 day for District Event, 1 day for Professional Development and 1.5 days in classroom time (immediately prior to the opening of school). For Chemehuevi Valley Elementary School and Monument Peak Elementary School, the .5 day for District Event and 1 day for Professional Development will be held at the District determined site and the 3.5 days will be held onsite at the employees assigned school location.

  • TEACHING HOURS A. Teaching hours shall be as follows:

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m. Whenever practicable and consistent with program needs, employees shall work on five (5) consecutive working days separated by two (2) consecutive days off. Significant or major changes in methods of scheduling shall be first discussed with the Union before changes are made.

  • Days Unless otherwise specifically indicated to the contrary, the word "days" as used in this Lease shall mean and refer to calendar days.
