AFTERNOON WORK. Operators will sign their afternoon work at the Depot of origin for the day at the 09:00 Sign-up in order of seniority. The 09:00 Sign-up for operational Depots with work assignments on the Spareboard will proceed consecutively. The Depot with the least amount of work assignments will sign first at 09:00. If there is a tie it will be at the discretion of the Depot Supervisor or designate. Operators leaving a selection of work choices must leave a sufficient number of choices to cover their seniority. Operators who fail to leave sufficient work choices will be assigned a piece of work with the earliest finish and each piece of work shall finish by 19:30 hours. The only Operators who are permitted to leave a selection of work choices for the 09:00 Sign-up are:

AFTERNOON WORK. An afternoon shift shall be defined as an ordinary hours shift finishing after 6.00pm and at or before 12.00 midnight.
AFTERNOON WORK. Employees whose ordinary hours of duty are worked over eight (8) hours commencing after 10:30am and finishing before 9:00pm will be paid for the work done during ordinary rostered hours (not being overtime) between Monday and Friday, their ordinary rate of pay plus an additional fifteen percent (15%) loading of their ordinary rate of pay for all hours worked on that shift. This fifteen percent (15%) loading will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift premiums prescribed by the Agreement. Refer to clause 5.7 for Annualised Salary Employee payments.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Standard Work Day The standard work day for non-shift employees shall be seven (7) hours exclusive of the meal period.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.
