AGRICULTURE AND THE FOOD CHAIN. NATURAL SCIENCES 6.1. This Lot covers the provision of the natural sciences Services (as outlined in 4.3.3) in the agriculture and food chain Business Area (described in 4.2.2). While we may require some or all of the Services outlined in relation to The Authority’s current or future policy interests in agriculture and the food chain, the typical areas of research included in this Lot are given below. 6.2. Provide reliable, independent, forward thinking, innovative research or experimentation relating to the whole food chain (primary production to consumers) including agricultural, horticultural, crop, livestock sectors, food manufacturing and supply chain to support increasing competitiveness, resource efficiency, resilience, sustainable production and consumption including investigation, analysis, quality assurance, interpretation and presentation of results. 6.3. Undertake research on food identification, labelling and authenticity to support cross- Government policy on food standards. 6.4. Review research and technological developments and provide independent assessments and recommendations to the Authority in all areas of agriculture and the food chain. 6.5. Provide independent risk assessments and impact assessments on sustainable agriculture and horticulture. 6.6. Provide specialist, independent advice to the Authority in matters relating to agriculture and the food chain. 6.7. Prepare and disseminate advisory or promotional materials to farmers, industry and other stakeholders including provision of specialist training where required. 6.8. Undertake literature reviews and audits of any aspect relating to agriculture and the food chain. 6.9. Provide technical advice on the Authority’s policy priorities for this Lot.
AGRICULTURE AND THE FOOD CHAIN. INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS, STATISTICS AND SOCIAL RESEARCH 4.1. This Lot covers the provision of the information and analysis, statistics and social research Services (as outlined in 4.3.1) in the agriculture and the food chain Business Area (described in 4.2.2). While we may require some or all of the Services outlined in relation to The Authority’s current or future policy interests in agriculture and the food chain, the typical areas of research included in this Lot are given below. 4.2. Provide reliable, independent, information and analysis on current and future trends in the livestock sector (sheep, cattle (beef and dairy), pigs, poultry, eggs and other farmed animals) and supply chain including stakeholder/industry opinion or concerns and ad hoc or regular technical advice. 4.3. Provide reliable, independent, information and analysis on current and future trends in the agricultural and horticultural crop sector (including combinable crops, cereals, oilseeds, pulses/protein crops, minor crops, farm-saved seed, fruit, vegetables, salads, mushrooms, ornamentals, potatoes) and supply chain including stakeholder/industry opinion or concerns and ad hoc or regular technical advice. 4.4. Prepare and disseminate advisory or promotional materials to farmers and others in the food chain including provision of specialist training where required. 4.5. Provide advice on the impact of actual or proposed legislative changes, including contributing to, or completing, formal Impact Assessments. Develop, conduct and report on assessment and monitoring systems for policy impacts. 4.6. Provide and update web-based information. This includes information on plant and other non-animal genetic resources. 4.7. Design, conduct and report on ad hoc or regular quantitative and qualitative surveys relating to any aspect of the livestock sector and supply chain. 4.8. Design, conduct and report on ad hoc or regular quantitative and qualitative surveys relating to any aspect of the crop and horticultural sector and supply chain. 4.9. Provide statistical analysis and modelling of existing data in relation to current and future policy priorities. 4.10. Design, conduct and report on qualitative surveys, in-depth methods and analyses on xxxxxx attitudes, behaviours and practices. 4.11.   • Agricultural Export Subsidies 1. The Parties share the objective of the multilateral elimination of export subsidies for agricultural goods and shall work together toward an agreement in the WTO to eliminate those subsidies and prevent their reintroduction in any form. 2.   • Trunk Group Architecture and Traffic Routing 5.2.1 The Parties shall jointly establish Access Toll Connecting Trunks between CLEC and CBT by which they will jointly provide Tandem-transported Switched Exchange Access Services to Interexchange Carriers to enable such Interexchange Carriers to originate and terminate traffic from and to CLEC's Customers. 5.2.2 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access and non-translated Toll Free traffic (e.g., 800/888) to allow CLEC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier that is connected to the CBT access Tandem. 5.2.3 The Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be one-way or two-way trunks, as mutually agreed, connecting an End Office Switch that CLEC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access Service in the given LATA to an access Tandem Switch CBT utilizes to provide Exchange Access in the LATA.

  • Indigenous Peoples The Borrower shall ensure that the Project does not have any indigenous peoples impacts within the meaning of Safeguard Policy Statement. In the event that the Project does have any such impact, the Borrower shall take all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and regulations of the Borrower, the Safeguard Policy Statement and any corrective or preventative actions set forth in the Safeguards Monitoring Report.

  • MINES The Contractor represents and warrants that neither it, its parent entities (if any), nor any of the Contractor’s subsidiaries or affiliated entities (if any) is engaged in the sale or manufacture of anti-personnel mines or components utilized in the manufacture of anti-personnel mines.

  • Disputes between the Contracting Parties (1) Disputes between the Contracting Parties concerning the interpretation or application of this I Agreement should, as far as possible, be settled through negotiation. (2) If a dispute between the Contracting Parties cannot thus be settled within six months from the ist time the dispute arose, it shall upon the request of either Contracting Party be submitted to an arbitral tribunal. (3) Such an arbitral tribunal shall be constituted for each individual case in the following way. by Within two months of the receipt of the request for arbitration, each Contracting Party shall appoint one its member of the tribunal. Those two members shall then select a national of a third State who on approval by the two Contracting Parties shall be appointed Chairman of the tribunal. The Chairman shall be appointed within two months from the date of appointment of the other two members. (4) If within the periods specified in paragraph (3) of this Article the necessary appointments have in not been made, either Contracting Party may, in the absence of any other agreement, invite the President of the International Court of Justice to make any necessary appointments. If the President is a national of either Contracting Party or if he is otherwise prevented from discharging the said function, the Vice President shall be invited to make the necessary appointments. If the Vice President is a national of either Contracting Party or if he too is prevented from discharging the said function, the Member of the International Court of Justice next in seniority who is not a national of either Contracting Party shall be invited to make the necessary appointments. (5) The arbitral tribunal shall reach its decision by a majority of votes. Such decisions shall be binding on both Contracting Parties. Each Contracting Party shall bear the cost of its own member of the tribunal and of its representation in the arbitral proceedings; the cost of the Chairman and the remaining costs shall be borne in equal parts by the Contracting Parties. The tribunal may, however, in its decision direct that a higher proportion of costs shall be borne by one of the two Contracting Parties, and this award shall be binding on both Contracting Parties. The tribunal shall determine its own procedures.
