All Breaks. During all breaks, all daytime and nighttime custodians will work 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The work schedule includes a half-hour unpaid lunch period. Coaches, the Athletic Director, or a building principal will have the responsibility to secure any school building after 2:30 p.m. or the end of the day for custodial personnel when custodial personnel are not needed to work an event or program. If a building has evening activities, work schedules will be adjusted to provide coverage for the evening activities without incurring any overtime. This will be accomplished by assigning on a rotating basis in reverse order of seniority starting with the least senior Custodian, until a sufficient number of Custodians have been assigned to provide sufficient coverage for the activity. District Office custodians will work 4:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The summer work schedule will begin two days after the last student day of school and end two weeks prior to the first student day of school for the Middle and High School. The summer work schedule for Elementary schools will begin two days after the last student day of school and end the day before open house, provided that during the last two weeks of the summer schedule the building principal may adjust the work schedule, if needed, to cover any evening events.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.

  • Meal Break a) Employees who work for more than five continuous hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes each day.

  • Unpaid Meal Breaks All employees working shifts of five (5) to eight (8) hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hour of work. Such meal breaks shall not be less than one-half hour (1/2) nor more than one (1) hour on the employees own time.

  • Rest and Meal Breaks 11.1 One 10 minute paid morning rest break and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break will be scheduled within ordinary daily hours. The lunch break must be taken no later than 6 hours after work starts.

  • Missed Meal Breaks (a) (applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is authorized to work, during the lunch break, due to the requirements of patient care, he will be paid time and one-half (1½) his regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of his normal daily hours.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Breaks 16.1 Two separate ten-minute tea breaks (in addition to meal breaks) shall be allowed each employee on duty during each ordinary shift of 7.6 hours or more; where less than 7.6 ordinary hours are worked employees shall be allowed one 10-minute tea break in each four-hour period. Subject to agreement between the employer and the employee, the two ten-minute tea breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20-minute tea break, or by one ten-minute tea break with the employee allowed to proceed off duty ten minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such tea break(s) shall count as working time.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • TERMINATION BY MPS - BREACH BY CONTRACTOR If Contractor fails to fulfill its obligations under this Contract in a timely or proper manner, or violates any of its provisions, MPS shall thereupon have the right to terminate it by giving five (5) days written notice before the effective date of termination of the Contract, specifying the alleged violations, and effective date of termination. The Contract shall not be terminated if, upon receipt of the notice, Contractor promptly cures the alleged violation with five (5) days. In the event of termination, MPS will only be liable for services rendered through the date of termination and not for the uncompleted portion, or for any materials or services purchased or paid for by Contractor for use in completing the Contract.

  • Independence from Material Breach Determination Except as set forth in Section X.D.1.c, these provisions for payment of Stipulated Penalties shall not affect or otherwise set a standard for OIG’s decision that CHSI has materially breached this CIA, which decision shall be made at OIG’s discretion and shall be governed by the provisions in Section X.D, below.
