The Work Schedule. The services to be performed pursuant to this Agreement shall be performed in accordance with the Work Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit "B", consisting of one (1) page, and incorporated herein by this reference.
The Work Schedule. Section 1 - The Academic Year: A. The academic year shall consist of two (2) semesters. Teaching faculty members and Department Chairpersons covered by this agreement shall perform teaching functions during both such semesters, as provided for in this Article. All teaching faculty members shall be available for meetings and other administrative or planning duties during each semester and/or on days immediately preceding the first day of classes for each semester. All such days shall be developed with the calendar and will not exceed eight days per academic year, and not more than five days for one semester. Other than provided above, all teaching faculty members shall not be required to be available for any duties on scheduled holidays, recesses, or intersessions, or other periods of excused absence. The maximum number of days of instruction to which a teaching faculty member shall be assigned will not exceed seventy-eight (78) per semester. The work period for faculty will be defined by the academic calendar. The calendar shall be developed cooperatively with representatives from the TFBC, the FLCC Professional Association, the FLCC Unit of CSEA and the calendar committee. The calendar will be recommended to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Xxxx of the College. The Vice President, prior to recommending the calendar to the President, shall provide a copy thereof to the Chair of the Faculty Forum, the Chair of the Bargaining Council, and the Presidents of the FLCC Professional Association and FLCC Unit CSEA. The Vice President and Xxxx of the College will then recommend the calendar to the President by December 15 and the necessary changes will be made by February 15. The calendar shall contain the proper number of days to effectively orient, register, instruct, evaluate and graduate students and is subject to the regulations prescribed by the State University of New York and the State Education Department. In addition to teaching duties teaching faculty members shall be available for meetings as called by the administration during the common hour, upon 48 hour notice. Teaching faculty members will be available for departmental meetings as scheduled. B. The College will make every effort to provide each teaching faculty member with a tentative teaching schedule by May 1 and December 1 for the Fall and Spring semesters respectively. C. The Work Schedule. (a) Sergeants shall work a twelve (12) hour tour of duty with base tours of 0630 -1830 (day shift) and 1830 -0630 (night shift). The 12 hour work schedule is based on a rotating cycle of work days and days off operating on a two (2) week cycle commencing every other Monday. (2 days on duty / 2 days off duty / 3 days on duty / 2 days off duty / 2 days on duty / 3 days off duty.) 1. During the course of the cycle sergeants will work seven (7) 12 hour tours totaling eighty-four (84) hours of work. The hours per two (2) week cycle over the normal eight (80) hours will be credited at straight time to a separate time account, known as the Xxxxxx Account. 2. Sergeants may make unlimited shift changes of single days and (6) whole work cycles, provided such changes do not result in a sergeant receiving overtime. Unlimited single day schedule changes will remain in effect. 3. In order to minimize the effects of rotating shifts, the schedule will include three cycles of the same or similar tours of duty. Upon completion of the third cycle, the squads will rotate from days to nights, or nights to days depending on their previous shift assignment. 4. Hours worked beyond the scheduled tour of duty will count as overtime and be compensated at time and a half (paid overtime or compensatory time). 5. For pay purposes the workweek will remain a calendar workweek of (40) hours. 6. Sergeants will continue to accrue "Xxxxxx time" while on vacation, sick leave, personal time, disability time, military time, compensation time and bereavement time. 7. Time off will be deducted in accordance with the number of hours the sergeant was scheduled to work on a given tour of duty. Compensatory time or Xxxxxx time can be used in combination with personal leave or bereavement leave in order to provide sufficient hours to enable sergeants to take the allowable number of benefit days (shifts) off.   • Work Schedule (A) Where an employee has an established schedule, a change in workdays or shifts will be posted no less than 14 calendar days in advance and will reflect at least a two workweek schedule; however, the state will make a good faith effort to reflect a one month schedule. (B) In the event of a declared emergency the notice requirement of this Section may be void. (C) The state will continue to observe the scheduling structures currently in place at each agency and agrees to bargain any change in the overall practice of how schedules are established.

  • Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the work schedules meet federal and state laws.

  • Project Schedule Construction must begin within 30 days of the date set forth in Appendix A, Page 2, for the start of construction, or this Agreement may become null and void, at the sole discretion of the Director. However, the Recipient may apply to the Director in writing for an extension of the date to initiate construction. The Recipient shall specify the reasons for the delay in the start of construction and provide the Director with a new start of construction date. The Director will review such requests for extensions and may extend the start date, providing that the Project can be completed within a reasonable time frame.

  • Alternative Work Schedule An alternate forty (40) hour work schedule (other than five (5) uniform and consecutive eight (8) hour days in a seven (7) day period), or for hospital personnel an eighty (80) hour workweek in a fourteen (14) day period and other mutually agreed upon schedules that comply with applicable federal and state law. Employee work schedules normally include two (2) consecutive days off.

  • Alternate Work Schedule An alternate work schedule is any work schedule where an employee is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days per week, but the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days off are NOT Saturday and Sunday.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

  • Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.

  • Notice of Work Schedules ‌ (a) Work schedules for regular employees shall be posted at least 14 days in advance of the starting day of a new schedule. (b) In the event that the work schedule or shift for a regular employee or an auxiliary employee working a scheduled shift roster is changed without 48 hours' advance notice and such change is the result of the actions of another employee covered by this agreement utilizing the benefits provided for by the provisions of this agreement, the employee will receive a premium of 85¢ per hour in addition to their regular pay, for work performed on the first shift to which they changed. (c) In the event that an employee's work schedule or shift is changed without five days advance notice and the change results from causes other than defined in (b) above, the employee shall receive a premium at the applicable overtime rate for work performed on the first shift to which they changed, except that if the change results from no fault of the Employer they shall not receive a premium at overtime rates but shall receive the premium defined under (b) above.

  • Work Scheduling Except at the request of an affected employee, no employee shall have the number of hours they are normally scheduled to work reduced as the result of the use of non-permanent employees such as, but not limited to: seasonal, intermittent, student interns, interns, interim, established term, or temporary employees, due to the performance of such employee’s duties by the nonpermanent employee.
