Summer Work Schedule assigned to programs and departments where scheduling allows a mandated four-day work schedule during the summer will work a four-day work schedule for the period beginning the first full week in July and ending the Friday before the Labor Day holiday. Under the summer schedule, the normal workweek shall consist of four consecutive workdays and the normal workday shall consist of ten hours starting and ending at times appropriate to the needs of the department and agreed upon by the worker and their supervisor.
Summer Work Schedule. For the summer work schedule the hours may be adjusted to a ten (10) hour day, four (4) day work week.
Summer Work Schedule. 1. Except for the holiday work week of July 4th, secretaries shall work a four day work week, Monday through Thursday, commencing on the Monday after the last day of school, and ending the last full week before September 1. Each work day shall consist of seven and one-half (7 ½) hours, for a work week of 30 hours. Secretaries shall receive a combined lunch/break period of 30 minutes per day.
2. During the holiday work week of July 4th, the office will operate on the six (6) hour schedule set forth in paragraph 10.B.
3. Exception: when July 4th falls on a Friday, secretaries will work four days Monday through Thursday, 7 ½ hours per day.
Summer Work Schedule. The summer weeks between the first Friday after the end of the spring semester and the last Friday prior to Orientation, employees will be paid duty-free administrative leave on Fridays. If an employee is required to work in excess of 8 hours per day, he/she will be compensated or credited compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half hours for those hours. Employees called in on a Friday during the summer weeks will be credited with one hour of compensatory time for every hour worked up to 8 hours. If an employee is required to work in excess of 8 hours on a Friday, he/she will be compensated or credited with compensatory time at the one and one-half hours for every hour worked.
Summer Work Schedule. The Association recognizes that the establishment of a summer work schedule is at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
Summer Work Schedule. 11.8.1 Supervisors assigned to programs and departments where scheduling allows operations during the summer on a four day work schedule will be offered a four day work schedule for the period beginning the Monday after Independence Day and ending the day before Labor Day. Under the summer schedule, the normal work week shall consist of four consecutive work days and the normal work day shall consist of ten hours starting and ending at times appropriate to the needs of the department and agreed upon by the supervisor and his/her administrator.
11.8.2 Supervisors who work fewer than 10 hours per day during the four-day summer work week shall select one of the following options to cover time not worked:
a. use of earned vacation (see Article 8.1, regarding the circumstances under which certain amounts of sick leave can be converted to vacation); b. use of earned compensatory time;
Summer Work Schedule. 17 The District may begin or end a Flexible Summer Work Schedule for 18 individual unit members based upon efficiency of operations for the District. The 19 District may begin or end a Flexible Summer Work Schedule at any time 20 between the first Monday, after the final day of the regular school year and the 21 last Friday, one calendar week before the beginning of a new school year. A unit 1 member may be assigned to work Monday – Thursday, for a maximum of 10 2 hours per day, with every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as scheduled days off.
Summer Work Schedule. 9.3.1 Unit members will work 10 hours per day/4 days per week beginning the work week immediately following the commencement ceremony. The 10 hours per day/4 days per week will revert back to 8 hours per day/5 days per week the week before the academic calendar states the fall semester is to begin.
9.3.2 During the 10 hours per day/4 days per week the college will remain open from 7:00
a. m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. With supervisors’ approval, employees from different offices have the flexibility to adjust their actual work schedule to meet individual department requirements.
Summer Work Schedule. A flexible schedule for summer custodians and cleaning staff will be observed by job category.
Summer Work Schedule. A. Upon completion of the ten-month teacher contractual duty days, twelve-month FCASA bargaining unit members shall have the option to select up to four (4) consecutive or non- consecutive days to telework prior to the return of ten-month staff for the succeeding school year.
B. The scheduling of the days must be approved in advance by the employee’s immediate supervisor.
C. The employee must have adequate resources to perform the job function and shall respond to phone calls and electronic communications in a timely manner.
D. The employee must be available to report to work in the event of an emergency.
