ANIMAL COMPLAINTS. Police officers shall not be required to handle the animal complaints historically handled by the animal control officer unless it is an emergency. The parties further agree when animal control officers are not on duty, police officers shall respond to any call for service that involve barking dogs, animal bites, and vicious, stray, or injured animals. All other non-emergent animal control complaints shall be forwarded to the animal control officer and handled during normal duty hours. If it is determined that services of the animal control officer are needed after hours, approval of the shift supervisor on duty shall be required.

ANIMAL COMPLAINTS. A. No live or dead animals shall be transported by patrol cars. B. Police Officers shall not be required to handle animal complaints, except when emergencies arise during times that the Downriver Animal Control Employee is not available. C. Police Officers assigned to emergency animal complaints shall be provided with necessary equipment and may use the animal truck. D. Whenever possible, the Downriver Animal Control Officer will be assigned to write animal bite reports and make the ten-day checks.
ANIMAL COMPLAINTS. The Residents must immediately and permanently remove any animal from the Leased Premises if there is a reasonable complaint against the animal. These complaints may include but are not limited to noise disturbance, waste management, aggressive behavior, or odor. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to determine whether the animal has disturbed Residents or other neighbors. The Landlord shall handle all such complaints in compliance with State and Federal law.
