Faculty Salary Schedule. 16.1 Definition of “Step.” Appropriate service for movement on the salary schedule shall be completion of 75% of the scheduled weeks per semester for four (4) semesters. All scheduled hours in a week must be worked for faculty to receive credit for that week. Under unusual circumstances, exceptions may be approved by the Program Director.
16.2 Credit for Previous Experience. Previous experience shall be evaluated by the Human Resources Department. Up to ten (10) semesters of credit may be granted for previous instructional and/or work experience that directly relates to the SRJC position.

7.2.1 In moving from one class to another, a faculty member will move laterally on the schedule to the next step (reflective of total service credit) in the new class.

This increase will be effective at the beginning of the academic year in which the milestone is reached. Tenure increases ($1000), milestone increases ($1000) and increases for the completion of a new degree ($2000) will be applied to the base salary before the annual percentage increase for calculation purposes.
