Temporary Disability Leave Employees who are physically unable to perform the functions of their position for medical reasons, may be placed on temporary disability leave. Temporary disability leave shall be granted for illness, injury, surgery, or because of pregnancy or childbirth and shall only be granted for the period of actual disability and shall not exceed one (1) year, or two (2) years in the event of an on-the-job injury.
Vacation Leave on Retirement An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

Temporary Disability In the event that the Executive shall be disabled for not more than 90 consecutive days or any 90 days during any twelve (12) - month period during the Term, then the Executive, during the continuance of such disability, shall remain employed by the Company hereunder and shall continue to be paid his Annual Salary and Bonus and otherwise shall have all of the rights and be subject to all of the Executive's obligations and duties under this Agreement, other than the obligation and duty to render the Services otherwise in accordance with this Agreement.
Payment of Annual Leave on Termination On the termination of their employment, an employee will be paid their untaken or pro-rata annual leave.

Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.
Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.
