Application for Permanent Positions. Intermittent employees must seek a permanent position by doing the following:
a. The employee must apply for vacancies of like status as they are posted in order to secure a new position.
b. It is the employee’s responsibility to make sure that the District has the employee’s current home address and phone number
c. If the employee is offered and refuses a permanent position of like status, he/she will be terminated.
Application for Permanent Positions. Where a permanent position becomes vacant in a child care centre and the Employer intends to fill the vacancy and no permanent employee applies, the Employer will first consider applications received from term certain employees for the vacant position before hiring from outside the bargaining unit.
Application for Permanent Positions. Casual EAs, DECEs and Secretaries may apply to any posted vacancy within the bargaining unit. Once the provisions of Article 14 have been exhausted in respect to permanent employees, casual EAs, DECEs and Secretaries who apply in writing and can demonstrate the qualifications and skills to perform the required task shall be granted an interview.
