Appointment Salary. Nothing in the above clauses should be read as preventing a new employee, in appropriate circumstances, from being appointed to any step within the ASM, SASM or PASM grades.
Appointment Salary. It is recommended that each campus put in place the following review process for appointments to tenure track faculty positions. The review process is intended to add a stronger review for search and salary equity concerns before an appointment is made in order to avoid unintended inequities which may occur in setting initial salaries. Each university in the System will specify the details regarding who is responsible for conducting the review and how the review will occur. The following key elements should be included in each procedure.
