APPOINTMENT TO THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE. 31.13.1 Where an employee is appointed to the Classified Service and has worked more than twenty-four (24) hours per week on a continuous basis immediately prior to appointment to the Classified Service, the time he or she actually worked within the previous year may be considered to be part of his or her probationary period to a maximum of six (6) months.

Where an employee is appointed to the Classified Service and has worked more than twenty-four (24) hours per week on a continuous basis immediately prior to appointment to the Classified Service, the time actually worked within the previous year may be considered to be part of probationary period to a maximum of six (6) months. Notwithstanding Sub-article above, where an employee is appointed to the classified service as a regular part-time civil servant and has worked at least the minimum hours specified in Article (Hours of Work) on a continuous basis immediately prior to appointment to the classified the time he she actually worked within the previous year may be considered to be part of his her probationary period to a maximum of six (6) months. Association dues shall be deducted from an employee covered by this Article in accordance with Article (Check Off of Association Dues).
