Association Business and Training. The Association shall have a bank of 150 hours per contract year for use in conducting Association business. These hours cannot be carried over into the next contract year (i.e., October 1 to September 30). The Association President may be asked to provide a record of the time used by the Department Head at any time and shall produce such record in a reasonable period of time. Association representatives utilizing this time shall notify their supervisors and shall endeavor to provide as much advance notice as possible. Employees must track their use of the one hundred and fifty (150) hours in the City’s timekeeping system by using appropriate payroll codes so that the City’s payroll staff can keep accurate, ongoing records of the amount of leave used for the year at any time.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Professional Development and Training 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for interpreters is to maintain the skill levels interpreters possess at the time they pass their interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage interpreters to complete training and continuing education activities.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • STUDENTS AND TRAINEES 1. Payments which a student, business apprentice or trainee who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • Security Awareness and Training We have implemented and maintain an information security and awareness program that is delivered to employees and appropriate contractors at the time of hire or contract commencement and annually thereafter. The awareness program is delivered electronically and includes a testing aspect with minimum requirements to pass. Additionally, development staff members are provided with secure code development training.

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING FUND 22.01 i) The Employer shall contribute to the Union the sum of Five cents ($.05) per hour per full- time employee for each hour worked for education and training of Union members.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING TRUST FUND 45.01 The Employer shall contribute four hundred ($400.00) dollars per calendar year into the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local No. 832, Education and Training Trust Fund.
