Association Council. 1. An Association Council is hereby established, which shall oversee the fulfilment of the objectives of this Agreement and supervise its implementation. The Association Council shall meet at ministerial level at regular intervals, not exceeding a period of two years, and extraordinarily whenever circumstances so require, if the Parties so agree. The Association Council shall meet where appropriate and agreed by both Parties at Head of State or Government level. Furthermore, in order to strengthen the political dialogue and make it more efficient, specific ' ad hoc ' meetings at working level shall be encouraged. 2. The Association Council shall examine any major issue arising within the framework of this Agreement, as well as any other bilateral, multilateral or international question of common interest. 3. The Association Council shall also examine proposals and recom­ mendations from the Parties for the improvement of the relations estab­ lished under this Agreement.
Association Council. 1. An Association Council is hereby established. It shall supervise and monitor the application and implementation of this Agreement and periodically review the functioning of this Agreement in the light of its objectives. 2. The Association Council shall meet at ministerial level and at regular intervals, at least once a year, and when circumstances require. The Association Council may meet in any configuration, by mutual agreement. 3. In addition to supervising and monitoring the application and implementation of this Agreement, the Association Council shall examine any serious issues arising within the framework of this Agreement, and any other bilateral or international issues of mutual interest. 4. The Association Council shall establish its own rules of procedure. 5. The Association Council shall be chaired in turn by a representative of the Trade and Sustainable Development Sub Committee 6. Where appropriate, and by mutual agreement, representatives of other bodies of the Parties may take part as observers in the work of the Association Council. 7. For the purpose of attaining the objectives of this Agreement, the Association Council shall have the power to take decisions within the scope of this Agreement. The decisions shall be binding upon the Parties, which shall take appropriate measures, including if necessary action by bodies established under this Agreement, in line with provisions of this Agreement to implement the decisions taken. The Association Council may also make recommendations. It shall adopt its decisions and recommendations by agreement between the Parties following the completion of the respective internal procedures of the Parties, as appropriate. 8. In line with the objective of the gradual approximation, the Association Council will be a forum for exchange of information on selected sustainable development (climate change) legislative acts both under preparation and in force, and on implementation, enforcement and compliance measures. 9. In accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, the Association Council shall have the power to update or amend the Annexes to this Agreement, without prejudice to any specific provisions of this Agreement.

Related to Association Council

  • Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Union Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Union, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement. (b) The Committee shall meet every two (2) months unless otherwise agreed and as required under Article 8.01 (a) (iv). The duties of chair and secretary shall alternate between the parties. Where possible, agenda items will be exchanged in writing at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. A record shall be maintained of matters referred to the Committee and the recommended disposition, if any, unless agreed to the contrary. Copies of the record shall be provided to Committee members. (c) The purpose of the Committee includes: i) promoting and providing effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas, including but not limited to workload measurement tools and the promotion of best practices. Such communication may include discussion of nursing workload measurement and patient acuity systems. The Hospital will provide, upon request, information on workload measurement systems applicable to nursing currently used by the Hospital, and evaluations completed by the Hospital of such systems. ii) reviewing professional responsibility complaints with a view to identifying trends and sharing organizational successes and solutions, making joint recommendations on matters of concern including the quality and quantity of nursing care and discussing the development and implementation of quality initiatives; iii) making joint recommendations to the Chief Nursing Officer on matters of concern regarding recurring workload issues including the development of staffing guidelines, the use of agency nurses and use of overtime; iv) dealing with complaints referred to it in accordance with the provisions of Article 8, Professional Responsibility; v) discussing and reviewing matters relating to orientation and in- service programs; vi) promote the creation of full-time positions for nurses, and discuss the effect of such changes on the employment status of the nurses. This may include the impact, if any, on part-time and full-time, job sharing and retention and recruitment. (d) The Hospital agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending at such meetings. (e) Where a Committee representative designated by the Union attends Committee meetings outside of her or his regularly scheduled hours, she or he will be paid for all time spent in attendance at such meetings at her or his regular straight time hourly rate of pay. Such payment shall be limited to two (2) Committee representatives per meeting.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year. 2. The following provisions were not bargained and have been included for informational purposes only: a. Because of the many responsibilities imposed on the President of the Association, and in order to enhance the quality of instruction in the classes taught by him or her and maintain continuity, the Board will provide the building to which the President is assigned with a full-time aide who is also a certified substitute teacher. b. The building principal and the President will work out a mutually agreed upon schedule for the use of the aide. c. The presence of this aide will not be used to justify absences in excess of those authorized by the terms of this Agreement.

  • Association Grievance A grievance, as defined in Section 7.1, relating to occurrences actually involving at least three (3) nurses or arising under the Association Representative article, may be initiated by the Association at Step 2 of the above-mentioned procedure by the filing of a written grievance, signed by a representative of the Association, within 35 calendar days from the date of occurrence. Such grievance shall describe the problem and the contract provisions alleged to have been violated.

  • Association President The President of the Association has the right to visit schools. The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • Joint Union/Management Committee It shall be appropriate for either the Union or the University to request that a Joint Union/Management committee be convened, with Environmental Health and Safety as a participating member, to discuss health and safety concerns and to explore options for addressing those concerns through appropriate training or other approaches.

  • Association Leave The Association shall be allowed to use up to 5 days of leave each school year for use by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association. The Association shall reimburse Unified School District 434 for the loss of use of the teacher taking such leave by paying the daily cost of a substitute teacher. The Association shall notify the Superintendent not less than 5 calendar days in advance of using such leave.

  • Association Membership In accordance with applicable laws, the Employer/Appointing Authority shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising their right to join or not to join the Association, or participate in an official capacity on behalf of the Association, which is in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. The Association shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising the right to join or not to join the Association, and will not discriminate against any employee in the administration of this Agreement because of non- membership in the Association.

  • Association Establishment and all other capital and operational expenses of the Association.

  • Association Meetings The Association shall have the right to use school facilities for meetings without cost after the regular students’ school day.

  • Associations Where Associations are shown as Special Terms in the Rights Table relating to Firm Rights, Network Rail’s Flexing Rights shall not be used to break such Associations.
