Association Officership Leave. An unpaid leave of absence of up to three (3) years shall be granted to any tenured teacher upon application for the purpose of serving in an elective office in the National Education Association or the Illinois Education Association. Seniority, accumulated sick leave, and salary schedule position will be retained upon return from such a leave.

Association Officership Leave. A leave of absence, without pay, of up to two (2) years may be granted to any full time tenured teacher upon written application for the purpose of serving as a full time elective officer of a national or state professional educational organization. The teacher on association officership leave is eligible to participate in group insurance programs, if permitted under the insurance policy provision, but shall pay the entire premium commencing with the beginning of the leave, for such insurance programs the teacher wishes to retain. The right to continue participation in such group insurance programs, however, will terminate if the teacher does not return to the district pursuant to this section. A teacher who returns from association officership leave shall retain all previous experience credit and unused leave time. The teacher shall not accrue additional experience credit or leave time during the period of absence. Seniority shall continue to accrue.

  • Union Officers Sufficient time off shall be granted to the four (4) Principal Officers of the Local 48 Union for the purpose of attending and conducting regular and special meetings of the Union. All hours associated with said work shall not be subject to the 2000-hour time bank identified in Section 1 of this Article. In addition, time off shall be granted to the four (4) principal officers of the Union and any other members of the Assistant Chiefs Negotiating Team, not to exceed two (2), during the term of deliberation of the Assistant Chiefs Negotiating Team. Time off for deliberations may not begin prior to nine (9) months before the contract expiration date. The aforementioned members of the negotiating team shall be granted up to five hundred (500) hours, in the aggregate, in order to prepare for negotiations. All aforementioned time off shall be granted with full pay and shall not be subject to the 2000-hour time bank identified in Section 1 of this article. All notifications for time off for Union Business shall be made to the Fire Chief prior to actual time being taken. These notifications shall be by email and must be followed by a Form 25-S not later than the member's next tour.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Employment of foreign nationals The Contractor acknowledges, agrees and undertakes that employment of foreign personnel by the Contractor and/or its Sub-contractors and their sub- contractors shall be subject to grant of requisite regulatory permits and approvals including employment/ residential visas and work permits, if any required, and the obligation to apply for and obtain the same shall always rest with the Contractor. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, refusal of or inability to obtain any such permits and approvals by the Contractor or any of its Sub- contractors or their sub-contractors shall not constitute a Force Majeure Event, and shall not in any manner excuse the Contractor from the performance and discharge it of its obligations and liabilities under this Agreement, and the Contractor’s liabilities hereunder shall remain unaffected by such failure, refusal or inability.
