BARGAINING UNIT & DEFINITIONS. (Cont'd) It is agreed that the only parties to this agreement are the Employer and the Union. It is further agreed that the approval of this Agreement by the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada as complying with its laws, does not make it a party thereto. Dated at Toronto, this day of , 2005. FOR THE EMPLOYER FOR THE UNION This Statement is an addendum to the Collective Agreement between Union Communications and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, Local 91-O. 1. Although our role is to work with the labour movement and other progressive forces, and although we embrace the co-operative method of operation and decision-making, Union Communications is forced to operate in a business environment. 2. Partners in Union Communications are therefore personally responsible for the Company's assets and debts. 3. Partners agree that they will canvass other partners to do available work before contracting such work out of the bargaining unit and will seek to distribute work fairly. 4. Partners agree to assume a share of operating expenses and set draws based on the work they contribute to the co-operative. 5. The Company seeks to establish working relationships based on mutual respect and dignity with its employees, freelancers and associates. The employees, freelancers and associates employed by the Company understand that they contribute to overhead costs either directly or through having their work billed at a rate which is higher than that charged by them to the Company. 6. The terms and conditions for employees shall be only those as described in the collective agreement. 7. Upon leaving the partnership, partners will still have responsibility for any debt which exists at the time of leaving, likewise, they shall be entitled to any assets they have in the Company.

  • Bargaining Unit Defined The bargaining unit shall comprise all employees included in the certification issued by the Labour Relations Board except those excluded by mutual agreement of the Parties or by the Labour Relations Code.

  • Transfer and Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit (a) It is understood that an employee shall not be transferred by the Hospital to a position outside the bargaining unit without his consent except in the case of temporary assignments not exceeding six (6) months. Such employees on temporary assignments shall remain members of the bargaining unit. (b) An employee who is transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit shall not, subject to (c) below, accumulate seniority. In the event the employee is returned by the Hospital to a position in the bargaining unit within twenty-four (24) months of the transfer he or she shall be credited with the seniority held at the time of transfer and resume accumulation from the date of his or her return to the bargaining unit. An employee not returned to the bargaining unit within 24 months shall forfeit bargaining unit seniority. (c) In the event an employee transferred out of the bargaining unit under (b) above is returned to the bargaining unit within a period of six (6) calendar months, he shall accumulate seniority during the period of time outside the bargaining unit."

  • Bargaining Unit The term "bargaining unit" as used in this Agreement refers to the bargaining unit defined in Article 1, Recognition.

  • Unit Description Pursuant to and in accordance with all applicable provisions of Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, as amended, the Employer does hereby recognize the Union as the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment for the term of this Agreement of the employees of the Employer included in the bargaining unit described below:

  • Bargaining Unit Work The City agrees that it will not assign work currently performed by employees under this Agreement to City employees in other bargaining units.

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.

  • Bargaining Units The bargaining units shall consist of: (A) All full-time, sworn police officers below the rank of Sergeant who are employed by the City of Columbus, Ohio, Division of Police. (B) All full-time, sworn police officers holding the rank of Sergeant or above who are employed by the City of Columbus, Ohio, Division of Police, but excluding the Chief and Deputy Chiefs.

  • Bargaining Unit Information The Employer agrees to provide the Union such information relating to Employees in the bargaining unit as may be required by the Union for the purpose of collective bargaining.
