BASE Leave Sample Clauses

BASE Leave. Upon written authorization to the Superintendent by the BASE President, an employee shall be granted leave with pay and without loss of other leave for the purpose of conducting BASE business. Such leave shall not exceed eight (8) workdays in the aggregate during any fiscal year; provided, in addition, that there shall be no restrictions on the use of personal leave, in accordance with Section 7.02 of the Agreement, for such purpose. Such request shall be granted upon written authorization to the Superintendent by the BASE President five (5) workdays before such leave is to commence, except in the case of an emergency.

  • Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.

  • Xxxx Leave For laid off employees, sick leave accruals shall remain on the books and be reinstated if such employees are reappointed. Whenever a person becomes ineligible for reemployment and such person has not been re-employed, then, if at the point of layoff such person was eligible to receive a sick leave accrual payoff, such person shall be paid for existing sick leave accruals in accordance with Section 1408 of this Agreement.

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.

  • FMLA Leave FMLA leave may be used for:

  • TERMINAL LEAVE Any employee who is separated from State service for any reason including layoff shall receive within seven (7) days a lump sum payment for the number of hours of accrued annual leave at the employee's annualized hourly rate of pay.

  • Disability Leave a. An employee who has suffered possible injury in the performance of assigned duties shall immediately undergo such medical examination as the appointing authority deems necessary. He/she shall not be considered absent from duty during the time required for such examination.

  • Casual Leave (a) Employees may be granted casual leave with pay to a maximum of two (2) hours for the following purposes:

  • Unused Personal Leave Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day.   • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.
