Common use of Basic entitlement Clause in Contracts

Basic entitlement. After twelve months continuous service, an employee who becomes a parent is entitled to a total of 52 weeks parental leave in relation to the birth or adoption of their child. For females, maternity leave may be taken and for males, paternity leave may be taken. Adoption leave may be taken in the case of adoption.
