Common use of Bereavement Days Clause in Contracts

Bereavement Days. An employee shall be granted up to five (5) days off with pay for a death in his/her immediate family, providing she/he submits satisfactory evidence of such death and satisfactory evidence of attendance at the funeral of such person to the Food Service Director. Immediate family, for the purposes of this paragraph, shall be defined as: Mother, Father, Spouse, Child, Adopted Child, Step-child, Brother, Sister, Nieces, Nephews, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, Sister-in-law, Grandparents, Grandchildren and Legal Guardians.
