Break Rooms. 10.1. Break rooms shall present a clean, well-kept, orderly and professional appearance 10.2. Waste receptacles shall be emptied, spot cleaned and liners replaced as required. 10.3. All shelves, counters, cabinets and ceases shall be free of accumulated dust and debris. 10.4. Wipe clean and sanitize all counter tops, refrigerators (exterior), tables, chairs, cabinets (exterior), coffee makers (exterior), vending machines, microwave ovens (exterior), exterior and interior of trash receptacles, wall area surrounding trash receptacles, and paper towel dispensers. 10.5. Non-carpeted floors shall be swept or dust mopped and then wet mopped. 10.6. Floors shall be maintained according to standards for carpet and/or hard surface materials.

Break Rooms. Where existing TSA-controlled space, funding, and infrastructure permit, TSA will equip break rooms under its control in accordance with TSA’s Facility Program of Requirements with vending machines, refrigeration, microwave ovens and running water. Space plans and seating will be based on twenty (20) percent of the total on-duty staffing. Management will notify the AFGE local president or designee in advance of a plan for any break room infrastructure project over $1,000.00 and the AFGE local president or designee will have an opportunity to review that plan.

Break Rooms. Employer and Union members will use reasonable efforts to ensure that employer- designated breakroom and clock in/out areas are disinfected in compliance with CDC guidelines.

With the understanding that the employer does not control the work premises, the Employer shall take reasonable measures to provide adequate break rooms. 23.2 If an employee break room is not available, employees shall not be disciplined for taking their breaks or eating in any public non-gate area or common area of the terminal and/or area where they work, unless restricted by the Employer’s client or airport regulations. 23.3 The Employer shall provide reasonable lockable storage facilities for each employee for them to stow their personal items during shift, to the extent that the Employer has available space. The Employer agrees to meet with the Union to discuss Break Room issues when requested by the Union, up to three (3) times a year.
