BULLDOZERS. Bulldozers will be paid on the basis of size, as determined by make and model. Bulldozers are listed by ICS Type and are further categorized by CAL FIRE Size Class.
BULLDOZERS. A. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Tractors must be of the crawler type, either gasoline or diesel engine powered, and have either straight or angling blades as recommended by the manufacturer for use with that model of Equipment. 2. Must have not less than 45 rated draw-bar horsepower, as determined by the manufacturer’s model number.
BULLDOZERS i. STATE shall reimburse COUNTY for COUNTY bulldozers when used on a State Responsibility Area (SRA) wildland fire within COUNTY'S SRA Protection Areas (CPA) in accordance with criteria for determining reimbursement eligibility as outlined in the STATE/COUNTY Exhibit G, Operating Plan of this Agreement. ii. Reimbursement of COUNTY bulldozers, dozer transports, dozer tenders, and operators shall be based on COUNTY operating rates on file with STATE at time of initial dispatch. iii. COUNTY bulldozers billed to STATE must be identified by an incident order and request number and the associated cost; such costs shall be limited to bulldozer, dozer transport, dozer tender, and actual assigned personnel. iv. COUNTY shall provide STATE a list of bulldozers, size, model, and identification number, which shall be subject to this Agreement. These shall be included in the STATE/COUNTY Exhibit G, Operating Plan of this Agreement.
BULLDOZERS. Bulldozers will be ordered with one operator unless the work shifts are expected to exceed 16 hours, then a second operator should be requested. A single operator will not work more than 16 hours in a calendar day except in unusual circumstances, which must be clearly justified in writing by the fireline supervisor responsible for the work of the equipment, e.g., division supervisor, strike team leader. If a second operator has been used and the operational needs no longer require 2 operators, then CAL FIRE should advise the contractor that we are releasing the second operator. If the contractor objects, then he should be released as soon as conditions allow. Bulldozer/transport units hired for standby and initial attack may be hired with one operator. If actual use later meets the conditions described above, then a second operator must be ordered. At no time will two operators be paid for the same hours of work on the same piece of equipment under the guarantee. Payment for overlapping travel time to and from the incident base, motel, etc. is not allowed.

BULLDOZERS. Privately owned bulldozers under agreement to CDF shall have a fully trained and qualified firefighter available in the immediate area who is assigned to direct the private bulldozer operator at all times during any suppression activities. These operators will not work on the fire line without such supervision. (No. 21 March 1999) The following applies to employment for fire suppression on a temporary or emergency basis: • No one under 18 years of age shall be hired. (See Labor Code, □1285, et seq.) See also Section 3836, Incident Fiscal Management Handbook. • Agricultural workers should not be hired during harvesting season except in extreme emergency. • No one convicted of arson shall knowingly be hired. • No person should be hired to protect their own property or property bearing their interests. • Volunteers requested by or receiving specific instructions from CDF officials may be hired. • Volunteers must be properly clothed, physically qualified, properly trained and experienced. 1.1 (No. 21 March 1999) A person who is hired as paid pickup labor should sign an FC-42 at the time of employment, or as soon after as is reasonable. Refer to the current Emergency Worker rates published annually by temporary directive. See Section 3836 of the Incident Fiscal Management Handbook.

  • Welding Welding and use of cutting torches or cutoff saws will be permitted only in areas that have been cleared or are free of all material capable of carrying fire. Flammable debris and vegetation must be removed from within a minimum 10-foot radius of all welding and cutting operations. A shovel and a 5-gallon standard backpack water container filled and with handpump attached shall be immediately available for use in the event of a fire start. C8.64 – DEBARMENT AND SUSPENSION CERTIFICATION (3/18). Pursuant to 2 CFR 180 and 2 CFR 417, Purchaser shall certify and obtain certifications from its Subcontractors regarding debarment, suspension, ineligibility, and voluntary exclusion, including additional Subcontractors obtained after award of this contract. “Subcontractors” are participants in lower tier covered transactions. Purchaser may rely upon a certification of a prospective Subcontractor that it is not proposed for debarment under 48 CFR 9.4, debarred, suspended, ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participating in covered transactions or timber sales, unless Purchaser knows that the certification is erroneous. Purchaser shall keep the certifications of its Subcontractors on file until timber sale Termination Date and any extensions thereof, and will provide a copy at the written request of Contracting Officer. Nothing contained in the foregoing shall be construed to require establishment of a system of records in order to render in good faith the certification required by this Subsection. The knowledge and information of Purchaser is not required to exceed that which is normally possessed by a prudent person in the ordinary course of business dealings. If Purchaser knowingly enters into a timber sale transaction with a person who is proposed for debarment under 48 CFR 9.4, suspended, debarred, ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in covered transactions or timber sales, in addition to other remedies available to the Government, Forest Service may pursue available remedies, including suspension and/or debarment. Contracting Officer shall provide a copy of Forms AD-1047 Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension and Other Responsibility Matters – Primary Covered Transactions and AD-1048 Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary Exclusion – Lower Tier Covered Transactions to the Purchaser. Purchaser shall complete form AD-1047 and provide to the Contracting Officer upon request. Purchaser shall require each subcontractor to complete form AD-1048 and provide to the Contracting Officer upon request.

  • Generators Temporary installation of generators, and permanent installation of generators that are placed inside existing non-residential buildings or that occupy an area under 50 square feet behind the building they serve.

  • Shoes All uniformed staff shall be provided with 2 pairs of shoes annually, replaceable on a normal wear and tear basis.

  • Trailers You are insured against claims arising out of your ownership, use or operation of any trailer or its equipment, provided that such trailer is not being towed by, attached to or carried on a motorized vehicle.

  • Radios The Contractor or its employees shall not use any of the two-way radios or special telecommunications equipment under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Violation is grounds for immediate termination of this Contract, as well as punitive action.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done. Blasting may be suspended by Forest Service, in areas of high rate of spread and resistance to control. Fuses shall not be used for blasting. Explosive cords shall not be used without permission of Forest Service, which may specify conditions under which such explosives may be used and precautions to be taken.

  • Containers The marine and intermodal cargo containers either owned or leased by the Borrower and employed by the Borrower in the conduct of its business, including, without limitation, refrigerated, dry van, tank, open top and flat rack containers and refrigeration units and generator sets associated therewith, but excluding any chassis for such containers.

  • Fire Extinguishers Provide UL-listed extinguishers, cabinets and accessories from a single manufacturer such as X.X. Industries or Xxxxxx’x Manufacturing Company that comply with local fire marshal approval. 12.1 Systems Furnishings: Systems furnishings will be supplied and installed by the State. It will be the Lessor’s responsibility to complete the electrical connections from the building electrical grid to the power connections or power poles for the system furnishings (see Division 16, Electrical).
