Common use of Canine Assignment Clause in Contracts

Canine Assignment. Officers assigned to the canine unit and who care and maintain the dog at their homes will be required to spend 1 ½ hours per week for such home care duties, based approximately on 10 minutes per work day and 20 minutes per off day. The home care work will be paid at the regular police officer rate at time and one-half even though it is recognized that dog care is not law enforcement work.
