Catastrophic Illness Leave Bank. A. Purpose of the Bank The purpose of the Catastrophic Illness Leave Bank (hereafter referred to as the Bank) is to provide sick leave to teachers who have contributed to the Bank (“members”) after their accumulated leave has been exhausted and more specifically to provide such leave from the Bank in cases of prolonged illnesses.
