CHAIRPERSON EVALUATION. The department chairperson shall evaluate each candidate for promotion unless the chairperson is a candidate for promotion. The chairperson shall not be required to make a personal observation of the candidate's teaching. However, the chairperson shall prepare a written evaluation based upon the criteria in Appendix II of the LSPA including an analysis of the student input referenced in 4.2.2.2 above. A specific determination with respect to whether the candidate is being recommended or not recommended for promotion shall also be made. The chairperson shall submit the completed forms, including the recommendation and written evaluation, to the candidate. Each candidate shall have five (5) working days to respond to the recommendation in writing. The chairperson shall respond in writing to the candidate’s response within five (5) working days. The written responses of the candidate and the chairperson, if any, shall be included in the promotion materials before submission of those materials to the xxxx. In the circumstance of the chairperson being a candidate for promotion, an official designee shall be elected by the department after consultation with the xxxx. This designee, who may not be a candidate for promotion, shall serve the same function as the chairperson in the promotion process and complete all the responsibilities set forth above. However, the chairperson, if tenured, shall serve in all reappointment and tenure recommendations.

  • Chairperson The Chairperson will supervise and control the affairs of the Committee and shall exercise such supervisory powers as may be given him/her by the Members of the Committee. The Chairperson will perform all duties incident to such office and such other duties as may be provided in these bylaws or as may be prescribed from time to time by the Committee. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings and shall exercise parliamentary control in accordance with Xxxxxx’s Rules of Order.

  • Vice Chairperson The Vice Chairperson shall act in place of the Chairperson in the event of the Chairperson’s absence, inability, or refusal to act, and shall exercise and discharge such other duties as may be required by the Committee.   • Chairperson of Committee An Employer representative and a Union representative shall alternate in presiding over meetings.

  • Department Chairperson The department Chairperson has the dual responsibility of leading the department in fulfilling its responsibilities in academic and personnel areas and of facilitating the functioning of the department. The department Chairperson is the normal channel of communications between the department and other departments, division/areas or like groupings, offices and the administration.

  • Chair The Chair of the Union/Management Committee shall alternate between an Employer representative and a representative of the Union.

  • Department Chairpersons The principal shall designate a high school librarian to serve as department chairperson, and such chairperson shall attend all school department chairperson meetings.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.

  • Committee Meetings Subject to Article 19.3(1) and unless the directors otherwise provide in the resolution appointing the committee or in any subsequent resolution, with respect to a committee appointed under Articles 19.1 or 19.2:

  • Steering Committee The Project Manager shall set up a Steering Committee for the Project, consisting of representatives from the Department, the Contractor, and any other key organisations whom the project will impact on, to be agreed between the parties. The function of the Steering Committee shall be to review the scope and direction of the Project against its aims and objectives, monitor progress and efficiency, and assess, manage and review expected impact and use of the findings from the Project. The Committee shall meet at times and dates agreed by the parties, or in the absence of agreement, specified by the Department. The Contractor’s representatives on the Steering Committee shall report their views on the progress of the Project to the Steering Committee in writing if requested by the Department. The Contractor’s representatives on the Steering Committee shall attend all meetings of the Steering Committee unless otherwise agreed by the Department.
