Child Spacing. It is the intention of the project to focus during this period on increasing the numbers of users of modern contraceptives, an effort in which CDS has had good success in the eastern communes. See the intervention description below. CBDs will be a major element of the strategy, and will be trained to advocate against sexual behavior at high risk for HIV/STI infection and promote condom use.

Child Spacing. Child Spacing (15%) Objective End Results • 25% of mothers with children under 24 months old, who do not desire to have a child in the next two years, will use a modern family planning method. • 50% of women with children under 24 months old, will know at least two modern methods for child spacing. The project sought to increase the percent of women of reproductive age and men using modern contraceptives to space the births of their children. The intervention includes: ▪ Use of multi-channel BCC strategy to motivate women and men to use modern contraceptives ▪ Increase access to family planning methods through integration of FP services with immunization, prenatal and postnatal services provided through the Mobile Brigades, and distribution of pills and condoms by APEs and Socorristas ▪ Community-based distribution of condoms through TBAs and Activistas ▪ Improving the FP counseling skills of health personnel Activities and MTE Results There has been limited implementation with this intervention with the exception of the BCC activities and in-service training for health center MCH staff and SC/US trainers. Similarly to the mobilization of pregnant women to use maternity services, CLCS members have been trained and are responsible for the education and motivation of women and men to use modern contraceptives. As mentioned earlier under the maternal and newborn section, FP was also part of the in-service training conducted by the DPS for health center MCH staff and SC/US trainers. No progress has been made towards achieving the objectives set for this intervention. The percent of women with children under two years who reported knowing at least two modern FP methods decreased from a baseline average of 30% to 25% in NaV, with Memba experiencing the most drop in coverage, from 37% to 23%. Modern contraceptive use by women not wishing to have another child in the next two years remained almost the same at baseline average of 16% compared to MTE value of 15%. (See Graph 1)
Child Spacing. Knowledge about the use of modern methods for child spacing is high in the rural communities and continues to increase. • Due to the prevailing shortage of contraceptives in rural areas, and barriers such as tradition and the prevailing desire by men to have more children in rural areas, the team concluded that the actual use of contraceptives by women of child bearing age remains low and it will take time to show a remarkable increase. • Men should be trained about the need for child spacing so that they can actively contribute to the improved health of the mothers and children in the communities.

  • Project Site The “Project Site” is the place where the Work is being carried on.

  • The Site The site of the Project Highway (the “Site”) shall comprise the site described in Schedule-A in respect of which the Right of Way shall be provided by the Authority to the Contractor. The Authority shall be responsible for:

  • Storage Space Effective as of the Second Floor Commencement Date, Landlord hereby leases to Tenant certain additional space containing approximately 1,000 rentable square feet in such areas as more particularly designated on Schedule X- 0 xxxxxxxx hereto. In addition, Landlord hereby grants to Tenant the right to lease certain additional storage space in such areas of the Project as are designated for storage by Landlord on a first-come, first-served basis (the initial storage space and additional storage space leased to Tenant by Landlord, if any, are collectively the "Storage Space"). The Tenant shall have the option, exercisable at any time during the Term, to cancel its lease of the Storage Space, upon thirty (30) days' prior written notice to the Landlord. Except as provided in this Section 2.1(b), the terms and conditions of Tenant's occupancy of the Storage Space shall be as set forth in this Lease. The Storage Space shall be leased in its absolute "AS IS" condition. There shall also be no core factor for the Storage Space (i.e., the usable areas shall be equal to the rentable area).

  • Open Space Acquisitions within the PPA. The County agrees that for the term of this IGA it will not purchase or otherwise acquire any land within the PPA for open space purposes, including conservation easements and transfer of development right sending sites without the approval of the Town.

  • The Premises Landlord hereby leases to Tenant and Tenant hereby leases from Landlord the premises set forth in Section 2.2 of the Summary (the “Premises”). Except to the extent caused by the acts or omissions of Tenant or any Tenant Parties (as defined in Section 10.13 below) by any alterations or improvements performed by or on behalf of Tenant, if such systems and/or the roof are not in good working order as of the date possession of the Premises is delivered to Tenant and Tenant provides Landlord with notice of the same within ninety (90) days following the date Landlord delivers possession of the Premises to Tenant, Landlord shall be responsible for repairing or restoring the same at Landlord’s sole cost and expense. Subject to any repairs or restoration required by the immediately preceding sentence, the commencement of business operations from the Premises by Tenant shall presumptively establish that the Premises and the Building were at such time in good and sanitary order, condition and repair. For purposes of Section 1938 of the California Civil Code, Landlord hereby discloses to Tenant, and Tenant hereby acknowledges, that the Premises, the Building and the Project have not undergone inspection by a Certified Access Specialist (CASp).

  • Provisioning Line Splitting and Splitter Space 3.8.1 The Data LEC, Voice CLEC or BellSouth may provide the splitter. When EZ Phone or its authorized agent owns the splitter, Line Splitting requires the following: a non-designed analog Loop from the serving wire center to the NID at the End User’s location; a collocation cross connection connecting the Loop to the collocation space; a second collocation cross connection from the collocation space connected to a voice port; the high frequency spectrum line activation, and a splitter. The Loop and port cannot be a Loop and port combination (i.e. UNE-P), but must be individual stand-alone Network Elements. When BellSouth owns the splitter, Line Splitting requires the following: a non designed analog Loop from the serving wire center to the NID at the End User’s location with CFA and splitter port assignments, and a collocation cross connection from the collocation space connected to a voice port.
