Collection on Holidays. Grantee has informed City that Grantee's arrangements with its solid waste customers will provide that if the day of collection on any given route falls on a legal holiday, i.e., New Year's Day, or Christmas Day, observed by the materials recovery facility, landfill or other lawful disposal site to which solid waste collected within the Franchise Area is taken for disposal, Grantee shall provide collection service for such route on the work day next following such Holiday and shall not provide collection service on such Holiday, and all subsequent collection days during that Holiday week shall be moved back one day in the discretion of Grantee.

Collection on Holidays. If the day of Collection on any given route falls on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day or a holiday observed by the Disposal Site to which the City’s Franchise Materials are disposed, Company shall provide Collection Service for such route on the next workday following such holiday, thereby adjusting subsequent workdays that week.

In situations beyond its control (e.g., severe weather and/or road conditions), Contractor will make its best efforts to collect Wastes in as timely a manner as possible.
Collection on Holidays. CONTRACTOR shall not Collect on either 6 Christmas Day or New Year's Day. If Christmas Day and New Year's Day 7 fall on a weekday, routes on those and subsequent days that week shall be 8 shifted back one day.
Collection on Holidays. No collection is required on July 4, Thanksgiving Day, December 25th or January 1st of each year. During weeks in which those dates fall on a Monday through Friday, pick-up shall occur on the established pick-up day, unless that day is July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, December 25th or January 1st, in which case pick-up will occur on the following day. Each regular pick-up day for the remainder of those weeks shall thereafter shift back one day with regular Friday service allowed to occur on Saturday.
Collection on Holidays. If the day of collection on any given route falls on a holiday or a day on which the Designated Disposal Site is closed, Franchisee may provide collection service for such route on the next workday following such holiday (including Saturdays for regularly scheduled Friday collections) or may provide collection on such holiday except that Franchisee shall never provide residential collection service (unless in case of emergency where such pickup is authorized in advance by the City) on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.

The rate of pay for the Special Holiday shall be that which the employee would have received if she/he had worked.

  • HOLIDAYS THAT FALL ON A SATURDAY For those employees assigned to a work week of Monday through Friday, and in the event a legal holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday; provided, however, that except where the Governor declares that such preceding Friday shall be a legal holiday, each department head shall make provision for the staffing of public offices under his/her jurisdiction on such preceding Friday so that said public offices may serve the public as provided in Section 16.4 of the Administrative Code. Those employees who work on a Friday which is observed as a holiday in lieu of a holiday falling on Saturday shall be allowed a day off in lieu thereof as scheduled by the appointing officer in the current fiscal year.
