Compensation for Holiday Falling on Saturday. When any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following method will apply for all non-shift workers: the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday with pay.

Compensation for Holiday Falling on Saturday. For the purpose of this Agreement when any of the aforementioned holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, shift workers shall observe the day proclaimed as a holiday for calculation of benefits under Article 20 - Holidays. All other employees shall observe the following Monday as the holiday.
Compensation for Holiday Falling on Saturday. When any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following method will apply for all non-shift workers: the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources, shall meet early in the year with representatives of all bargaining units within the University to determine which day will be deemed the holiday for the purposes of this Collective Agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.
