Compensation for Work on a Holiday. (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:

Employees may select the date on which they utilize their paid time off awarded for working on a holiday provided they have given the Employer four calendar weeks' notice and the Employer will respect the request as long as it is not detrimental to the efficiency of the operation. Employees will be permitted to use such paid time off within 60 calendar days succeeding the holiday. If such scheduling is not possible because of the demands of the work, the scheduling period shall be extended 30 calendar days. If the employee makes no attempt to schedule such paid time off within the 60 calendar day period succeeding the holiday, such time will be scheduled by the Employer.

Compensation for Work on a Holiday. Notwithstanding Article 17.02 above, where a full-time or part-time employee is required by the Employer to work on any of the holidays listed in Article 17.01 above, the employee shall receive one and one-half (1.5) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on such holiday. Full-time employees shall also receive seven paid hours off in lieu of the paid holiday and part-time employees the hours equal to their holiday entitlement to be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer.
