Common use of Compensatory Time Clause in Contracts

Compensatory Time. 26 Compensatory time may be accrued by agreement between the County 27 and the employee with the following limitations. Specifically, in lieu of overtime pay, an 28 employee may with supervisory approval elect to accrue compensatory time off equal to the 29 applicable overtime rate for each hour of overtime worked, provided: 30 a. The maximum allowable accumulation of compensatory time off 31 shall be eighty (80) hours. 32 b. Accrued compensatory time off may be used at the discretion of the 33 employee with the supervisor's consent. 1 c.
