Constables. (a) Constables commencing on paypoint 1.1 will progress to paypoint 1.2 subject to successful completion of the First Year Constable Program.
Constables. Between paypoints 1.1 to 1.5 Constables progress subject to a minimum of 12 months service on each paypoint, plus Competency Acquisition Program (CAP) or Constable Development Program (CDP) equivalent requirements, and satisfactory Performance Planning and Assessment (PPA). Constables who have not completed the CDP can progress to paypoint 1.6 after serving 2 years on paypoint 1.5, subject to satisfactory PPA. Progression to Senior Constable Constables who have completed 12 months service on paypoint 5, satisfactorily completed the CDP, and obtained satisfactory performance reports will be able to progress to Senior Constable paypoint 1. A satisfactory performance report is a report from the officer’s PPA supervisor to the effect that: The officer’s performance was satisfactory during the last completed PPA period; The officer’s performance has continued to be satisfactory to the current date; and The officer is capable of undertaking and is likely to satisfactorily perform all of the duties normally undertaken by a Senior Constable in the type of duty and in the location in which the officer currently works. Once all of the above criteria have been met, vetting must occur. Subject to satisfactory vetting, the effective date of progression shall be the date on which the officer has met all eligibility criteria. That is, administrative delays in vetting will not affect an officer’s progression date. At the time of progression all officers must also: have a current driver's licence; and satisfactorily complete the prescribed Operational Skills and Tactics (OST) training, (unless otherwise exempted by the relevant Assistant Commissioner); and be qualified to undertake any specialist duties that form a substantial part of their normal work.

  • Internships The Hospital may establish internships for the purpose of meeting future projected nursing shortages and/or providing career opportunities where there are no internal qualified candidates for job postings. In such circumstances, the implementation and guidelines of such an arrangement will be determined locally by the Hospital and the Union subject to the following: Internships are designed to develop the Hospital’s staff in order to fill positions for which there are currently no qualified internal candidates and/or for which shortages are predicted within a five (5) year period. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.

  • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5.
