Common use of Consultative Committee Clause in Contracts

Consultative Committee. 26.1 The parties agree to establish a consultative committee to assist the parties improve productivity, efficiency and to provide for the effective involvement of employees in decision making processes. The committee will consist of an equal number of company and elected employee representatives. 26.2 The objectives of the committee are to investigate, determine and make recommendations on matters including but not limited to: ▪ introduction of new technology ▪ changes to work organisation ▪ expansion and investment ▪ quality ▪ productivity improvement ▪ new management practices. 26.3 Employee representatives on the committee shall have adequate time and access to the employees they represent prior to the committee meetings to prepare for agenda items, and following committee meetings, to report back, when necessary, on issues discussed. 26.4 Committee members will be provided with all relevant information and access to documentation and data pertaining to the subject matter in order to assist the consultative process, except where the company is reasonably unable to do so for privacy or confidentiality reasons.
