Committee Objectives. The objectives of the Committee shall be:
7 1. To consider constructively the practice of nursing, including 8 utilization and staffing of registered nurses, and
9 2. To work constructively for the improvement of patient care and 10 nursing practice.
Committee Objectives. The objectives will be to improve not only the standard of working life but also the overall productive performance of all employees with the ultimate aim of maintaining and, where possible, improving each site’s competitiveness both nationally and internationally. In turn the provision of greater job security will be enhanced by developing and increasing employee’s overall skills whilst at the same time offering new and advanced career opportunities. These objectives are seen by all parties to be mutually beneficial. Two important areas of site operation are specifically excluded from the domain of the Consultative Committee:-
1. Industrial Relations issues will be processed via the Settlement of Disputes Procedure.
2. Matters which by definition are the responsibility of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee will be referred to that committee.
Committee Objectives. The Labour-Management Committee's objectives shall be to discuss and attempt to settle all disagreements that may arise out of this Agreement, excepting the cases where grievance procedures have been instituted and to settle any interpretation of differences that may arise. Any matter felt to be of mutual concern may be discussed with a view to attaining amicable settlement by both parties.
Committee Objectives. The Committee shall assist in creating a safe place to work, shall recommend actions which will improve the effectiveness of the health and safety program, and shall promote compliance with appropriate government regulations.
Committee Objectives. Utilizing the guidelines set forth in the appendix to this agreement, the committee’s charge is to give recommendations to the Superintendent by:
a. specifying positions eligible for EPED and/or stipend compensation,
b. documenting a job description for eligible positions based on the EPED/Stipend Proposed Additional Position Form including, at a minimum, the number and description of staff and/or students being served or supervised, required activities/events, estimated number hours and time of service, and range of dates,
c. determining the amount of compensation based on the formula below,

a. specifying positions eligible for EPED/Stipend compensation,
b. documenting a job description for eligible positions based on the EPED/Stipend Proposed Additional Position Form including, at a minimum, the number and description of staff and/or students being served or supervised, required activities/events, estimated number of hours and time of service, and range of dates,
c. determining the amount of compensation based on the formula below,
d. providing justification for compensation,
e. and issuing a summarizing report specifying the positions eligible for compensation, the job responsibilities associated with each position, the amount of compensation, and the justification for the compensation. The proposal and the total assigned point value shall be reassessed by the EPED/Stipend Committee upon submission of a new or updated EPED/Stipend Proposed Additional Position Form documenting new conditions and/or requirements for the extra duty. Other EPED/Stipend activities when approved by the Superintendent will be added to the list in the appropriate appendix of this agreement, with placement for compensation to be determined by the joint EPED/Stipend Study Committee. Such action will not be considered as the reopening of negotiations under this agreement for any reason, except for the express purpose stated.
Committee Objectives. The West Oakland Community Air Action Plan Steering Committee is a special committee that will serve for the designated purpose outlined in the mission statement. Committee objectives include identifying the West Oakland community boundary, identifying areas of concern for air pollution sources and sensitive receptor sites, reviewing existing plans, studies and reports on air quality to provide strategic input towards Plan development. Committee objectives also include disseminating and soliciting information with community stakeholders for which the committee members represent. The goal is for the Plan to be adopted by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Board by October 2019. Upon adoption of the Plan, the steering committee may elect to continue to meet quarterly to support and provide guidance on implementation, and develop progress reports.
Committee Objectives. A. To advance the cause of person-centered quality care and the reform of the nursing home field.
B. To support to ongoing work of the QCC. The QCC has started a movement toward culture change that is unprecedented.
C. To support and initiate innovative and new models of care in each facility, including but not limited to: • New style living units that are organized around com- munity and neighborhood settings. • New skills sets and job titles to facilitate changes and improved performance for the organization and con- tinue to enhance the satisfaction of residents and work- ers. • New models of care that would include flexibility of non-traditional schedules based on resident needs and employee needs. • New technology that would increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our workplace. In order to facilitate these next steps in the person-cen- tered culture change, the QCC and its Oversight Com- mittee will need to consider and review new recommendations, facility by facility, and authorize “NMPCC” Pilot Projects. These new models of care will explore new innovative concepts, as described above, which will benefit the person-centered quality care, the economic well-being of each facility and enhance the satisfaction of workers. Facility specific QCC Commit- tees will agree to work within this new “framework” to meet the new objectives set forth. The parties agree that the primary goal is to improve the quality of care for our residents. Therefore, the parties also agree to develop, facilitate and support the following initiatives to achieve the goal.
1) A flexible workforce: use of non-traditional schedules.
2) Improved performance of Institutions: Meeting fed- eral quality measurement standards.
3) A skilled workforce: New job descriptions; new career paths; training opportunities.
4) New approaches to organizing the daily work: New style living units organizing around community living including family style and neighborhood settings; implementing new technology.
5) Fully utilizing existing/new labor-management com- mittees to review standards of care and practices.
i. Utilize best practices in development of standards of care.
ii. The parties agree to provide an allocation of $1 million (in addition to the amount allocated in the 2004-2008 CBA) from the LMI to fund the work of the QCC.
