Controlled Shipping Level. 1 (CSL 1) Controlled Shipping Level 1 (CSL 1) means that in addition to the regular inspection tasks, the supplier must perform a full (100%) inspection regarding material numbers and characteristics defined by MEKRA before each delivery to MEKRA. The supplier is informed of these and any documentation requirements by way of the status report. The inspected products and the packaging must be labeled separately. MEKRA must be consulted regarding labeling type and content.

Controlled Shipping Level. In the case of persistent quality issues, the following escalation levels are envisaged:
Controlled Shipping Level. 2 (CSL 2) In CSL2 comes the supplier, • If the CSL1 status lasts longer than six months, or • the error or complaint rate has been above the escalation line for more than three months, or • Inadequate collaboration, no or inadequate response to 8D reports for more than six weeks, and failure to implement corrective actions Exit criterion CSL2: • Error or complaint rate more than three months below the escalation line • Sustainable and coherent remedial measures have been introduced Controlled Shipping Level 2 (CSL 2) means that, in addition to its normal inspection scopes, the supplier must have an additional 100% inspection carried out by an external service provider for material numbers and characteristics specified by the organization before each delivery to theorganization. The results of the control by the external service provider shall be made available to the organization. The supplier must create a sorting instruction for the external service provider, which must first be released by the organization. He is responsible for the proper execution of the sorting work, the documentation of the results and the quality of the delivered products. The tested products as well as the packaging must be marked separately. The type and content of the labelling must be agreed with the organization. The supplier will be informed in writing about the classification in CSL2 and personally invited to present the following facts: • Overview of all errors of the last 12 months • Overview of all corrective actions from these errors with deadlines and responsibilities • Overview of whether corrective actions have been transferred to related componentsAction plan (followed by weekly presentation) for the next three months to demonstrate how to leave CSL2 Other optional measures in CSL2 are: • The status of the supplier can be set to "No new requests". • A minimum partial shift of the volume to reduce the supply risk is initiated. In general, the dwell time in escalation level 2 is a maximum of 6 months. The costs arising from the escalation levels shall be borne by the supplier.
Controlled Shipping Level. 2 (CSL 2) Controlled Shipping Level 2 (CSL 2) means:  Supplier has to install an additional 100% check on top of the normal scope of control carried out by an external provider accepted by PRETTL,  part numbers and characteristics have to be agreed upon with PRETTL,  tests have to be done for and prior to every delivery,  Full documentation of the tests / results has to be available,  Marking for these deliveries has to be agreed upon with PRETTL,  Stock on both sides, Supplier and PRETTL, has to be inspected as well as goods currently in transit,  For the sorting activities, Supplier has to draw up instructions for the service provider, agreed by PRETTL,  Supplier is responsible for the orderly implementation of sorting tasks, the documentation of the results and the quality of the products supplied.
