Core Flex Shift. (a) Operate under a one (1), two (2) or three (3) platoon system on the basis of four (4) twenty-four (24) hour Core Flex Shifts, followed by four (4) days off. (b) Consist of an average of forty (40) hours per work week over one (1) complete shift cycle of four (4) weeks. (c) Each twenty-four (24) hour Core Flex Shift shall consist of ten (10) hours per shift compensated at the basic rate of pay which is made up of four (4) "Core Hours" plus six (6) "Flex Hours" and fourteen (14) On-Call hours which are compensated at the applicable On-Call rate of pay.

Core Flex Shift. (a) Employees shall be assigned a twelve (12) hour shift consisting of a minimum two (2) core work hours, and ten (10) flex hours, followed by twelve (12) on-call hours, with the Employee being available for response within the Benchmark for chute times used by AHS and as set out by the Employer from time to time from within the community during flex and on- call hours. An Employee shall be compensated for twelve (12) hours at his basic rate of pay plus twelve (12) hours on-call hours. (b) Employees shall work on a compressed work week consisting of an eight day rotation of: i. four (4) days on; ii. four (4) days off. (c) Overtime rates will be determined by the provisions outlined in Article 10. (d) Annual hours of work for full-time Employees will be two thousand one hundred and ninety (2190) hours.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.

  • Shift Differentials 18.1 Employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 1400 and 2159 hours shall receive a shift differential of seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour, and employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 2200 and 0559 hours shall receive a shift differential of eighty cents (80¢) per hour. Effective January 1, 2005, for employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 2200 and 0559 hours shall receive a shift differential of one dollar ($1) per hour. Overtime shall not be calculated on the shift differential nor shall the shift differential be paid for paid absence from duty such as vacations, general holidays, etc.

  • Night Shift Differential Unit 12 employees who regularly work shifts shall receive a night shift differential as set forth below: A. Employees shall qualify for the first night shift pay differential of forty (40) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift falls between 6 p.m. and 12 midnight. B. Employees shall qualify for the second night shift pay differential of fifty (50) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift fall between 12 midnight and 6 a.m. C. A "regularly scheduled work shift" are those regularly assigned work hours established by the department director or designee.

  • Length of Work Year 1. The length of the work year for custodians, accountants, (excluding school lunch accountant), personnel specialist, maintenance, maintenance helpers, mechanics, purchasing coordinator, county receptionist, warehouse and property records coordinator shall be twelve months. 2. The length of the work year for attendance assistant and bus drivers shall be 188 days. 3. The length of the work year for school food service shall be 194 days.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Shiftwork (A) Where the Employee would have received shift loadings had the Employee not been on leave during the relevant period and such loadings would have entitled the Employee to a greater amount than a loading of 17.5% of the payment under clause 23.1(c), then the shift loadings must be added to the payment under clause 23.1(c)(i) instead of the 17.5% loading. (B) Provided further that if the shift allowance would have entitled the Employee to a lesser amount than the loading of 17.5% then such loading of 17.5% shall be used for the purpose of calculating annual leave loading in lieu of the shift allowance.
