Common use of Death in Family Clause in Contracts

Death in Family. All full-time employees shall be allowed five (5) days without loss of pay at the time of death for (1) immediate family shall mean spouse, domestic partner, civil union partner, child, parent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father- in-law, and grandchild, or (2) any other relative living in the same household, at the time of death .

Death in Family. For death of other relatives, at absence must be charged as a personal business day and be taken in accordance with the time provisions and procedures of death Article 12:5.
