Deduction of Pay for Unauthorized Absence. In the event of an unauthorized leave of absence, the Employee’s pay shall be reduced in an amount proportionate to the amount of lost work time. Such loss of pay does not excuse an Employee from not requesting leave pursuant to contract provisions or District policy and does not preclude the District from disciplining an Employee for unexcused or excessive absences.

Deduction of Pay for Unauthorized Absence. No pay shall be issued to any Employee who is absent from work without the employee being on an approved leave of absence. Should an employee receive pay for a period of time that the employee was on unapproved leave, the employee’s pay shall be reduced accordingly.
