Loss of Pay. There shall be no loss of pay for time lost by an employee in connection with legal proceedings brought against the employee as a result of his/her actions related to maintaining discipline provided that the employee is not determined guilty of a criminal or civil charge as related to the incident.

Seniority will accrue while sick bank days are being used.Only one thirty (30) - day waiting period shall be required in any one schoolyear if the illness is a recurrence of the same illness.
Loss of Pay. When Bargaining Unit Members are absent from duty due to illness without the benefit of sick leave or personal leave, the District will pay to that Bargaining Unit Member the difference between the substitute’s salary and the Bargaining Unit Member’s salary. Such payments will be discontinued when Bargaining Unit Members become eligible for Income Protection Insurance payments. Loss of pay shall be contingent upon the Bargaining Unit Member incurring a serious health condition as defined by the FMLA and supported by completion of medical certification required by the District for a leave of absence for a serious health condition under FMLA. Additionally, the Bargaining Unit Member must be absent for a minimum of three (3) consecutive days.
Loss of Pay. The employee concerned and the shop xxxxxxx as identified in Article 7.20 (a) shall suffer no loss of pay in attending the discussions and hearings specified under Article 7.20 (a) and 7.20 (b).

Days used by a teacher for other than legitimate purposes as defined in this Article shall result in loss of compensation at the rate of 1/current teacher work days of his/her total annual salary, excepting that the loss of pay for part-time teachers shall be pro-rated according to their contracted days and salary. In the event the loss of pay is for a portion of a day, the amount of the salary deduction shall be computed by multiplying the employee's daily salary by a fraction the numerator of which is the time lost and the denominator of which is the time in the employee's normal work day excluding the lunch period.
