Other Guidelines. All applications must include a letter of recommendation from the appropriate Xxxx. The minimum award will be $1000. Significant applications are encouraged. Up to one year time release may be approved, in exceptional circumstances. For applications up to $20,000, two letters of reference from faculty colleagues are required. For applications over $20,000, an additional external letter of reference is required. For applications involving degree completion or equivalent, evidence is required that the applicant has made demonstrable efforts to obtain funding through the host institution. Should an applicant funded for full-time time release receive a grant, bursary, stipend, salary or other award, Kwantlen will reduce the allocation from this fund so that the total monies received by the faculty member equal the faculty member’s full-time salary. Faculty members receiving funds are expected to continue their employment at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. If they resign, the funds will be recovered as follows: Full recovery if subsequent service is one year or less. Fifty percent recovery if subsequent service is two years or less, but greater than 1 year. Within 2 months of completion of any activity funded through this process, the faculty member must submit a report demonstrating the extent to which proposed outcomes were achieved to the Senior Administrators and to their Xxxx.
Other Guidelines. Leave of Absence: Time on authorized leave of absence without pay, except to serve in an unclassified position, or on an approved budgetary leave will not be credited toward years of service, but neither will it be considered to interrupt the periods of employment before and after leave of absence; provided that an employee has accepted employment to the first available position upon expiration of leave.
Other Guidelines. This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Singapore.
Other Guidelines i. Leaves of Absence: Applicable laws, rules, policies and collective bargaining agreements will determine credit toward years of service for time on authorized leave of absence without pay. Other Guidelines. 1. Upon mutual agreement of a Teacher and his/her supervisor, a request may be made for another District administrator to observe said Teacher's classroom performance. Such an observation shall follow the procedure outlined in Paragraph C of this article.
2. In case a Teacher is not recommended for tenure or is recommended for dismissal because of his/her evaluation or failure to comply with the items necessary to improve performance as determined by the evaluator, the Teacher may appeal to the Superintendent.
a. The Superintendent may make his/her own investigation and make a separate evaluation of the Teacher's performance, to the extent his/her familiarity with the Teacher's performance will permit. Such an evaluation will follow the procedure outlined in C. above.
b. The Superintendent will return, together with this investigation and the Principal's, a final recommendation to the Board of Education.
3. All monitoring or observation of the work performance of a Teacher shall be conducted openly and with the full knowledge of the Teacher.
4. Any complaint against a Teacher by any parent, student, or other person, which is to be incorporated into the Teacher's evaluation or personnel file, shall be called to the attention of the Teacher promptly. The Teacher shall have the right to attach a response to any such complaint. The Teacher's reply shall be attached to the file copy of the material in question. Any material placed in the file that is found to be inappropriate or in error shall be expunged from the file.
5. When a supervisor becomes aware of Teacher behavior that is inappropriate or improper, he/she shall notify the Teacher as soon, as is practical, in order that the behavior can be improved. A Teacher may request a written explanation of any action taken because of inappropriate or improper performance.
6. A supervisor may visit a classroom other than for formal evaluation. A Teacher may request a written evaluation report and/or a post- visitation conference of any classroom visit. When requested, the written report shall utilize the Standard Evaluation Form.
7. Observations of a Teacher by anyone not specifically authorized in C, or D(1) above shall follow the procedures below.
a. A Teacher shall receive notification from the school office of the pending visit to a particular class by a parent of a member of said class. This notification shall be issued to the affected Teacher as soon as the office is aware of the parent's intention to visit....
Other Guidelines. In addition to the class size guidelines set forth above, it is recognized that any accurate measure of the professional effort required, the quality of the instruction given or of the results obtained should also consider the following factors, namely:
1. The grade and subject matter.
2. The teacher methodology or strategy.
3. The physical, intellectual, emotional, and maturational levels of the student, together with the distribution pattern of such characteristics within a class taken as a whole.
4. The training and experience of the teacher.
5. The quantity, quality, and type of physical facilities, teaching aids and other personnel available.
6. Other factors, including North Central Accreditation standards where applicable. In addition, parent requests will be a consideration.
Other Guidelines. Uterus with transverse diameter/vertical diameter of more than 120mm will not be approved for Laparoscopic procedure.

(b) Teaching strategy
(c) Distribution, maturation level, or special needs of the students
(d) Training and experience of the teacher
(e) Quantity, quality, and type of physical facilities and teaching aids available.
