Determining Holidays. Holidays falling on Saturday shall be celebrated on the preceding Friday, unless the preceding Friday is a regularly scheduled day of pupil attendance; in which event, the Monday following Saturday shall be celebrated as the holiday. In the event such Monday is also a regularly scheduled day of pupil attendance, then the employee, otherwise eligible for holiday pay, shall be paid the equivalent of one (1) day's pay at his/her regular rate for such a holiday in addition to his/her normal pay for that day. Holidays falling on Sunday shall be celebrated on the following Monday, unless that Monday is a regularly scheduled day of pupil attendance, in which event, the Friday preceding Sunday shall be celebrated as the holiday. In the event such Friday is also a regularly scheduled day of pupil attendance, then the employee, otherwise eligible for holiday pay, shall be paid the equivalent of one (1) day's pay at his/her regular rate for such holiday, in addition to his/her normal pay for that day.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
