Director’s Allowance. A Teacher appointed to the position of Director in a Pre-School shall be paid the relevant allowance for the position in accordance with the number of units of the service as set out in Table 4 of Schedule 1, in addition to the salary applicable to the appointee as set out in Table 1 of Schedule 1 of this Agreement.‌

Director’s Allowance. (a) A teacher appointed as a Director shall be paid an allowance in addition to their wage as prescribed by clause 2.2. (b) The Director’s Allowance is shown in Schedule 2. (c) In the case of a part-time director, this allowance will be paid on a pro-rata basis according to the number of hours per week worked. Teachers sharing the responsibility of director shall be entitled to a pro-rata proportion of this allowance based on their usual work pattern (i.e. a job-share arrangement between two employees where one works three (3) days and the other works two (2) days will result in the first employee receiving three-fifths (3/5ths) of the allowance and the second employee receiving two-fifths (2/5ths) of the allowance. (d) No kindergarten shall be required to pay more than 100% of the relevant director’s allowance as a result of a job-share arrangement.

Director’s Allowance. (a) A full-time teacher who is appointed as the Director of the service will be paid the Directors allowance specified Schedule B. (b) A part-time teacher who is appointed as a Director will be paid, on a proportionate basis to the hours they work. (c) A teacher required by the employer to act as a Director for at least 10 consecutive working days will be paid at the rate applicable to that position for the time they are in the position. (d) To avoid any doubt, an employee classified in anything other than a Teacher classification will not be paid the Director’s allowance.
