When the School Division creates an administrative position not currently provided for under article 4, the School Division will negotiate an allowance with the Teacher Welfare Committee's negotiating subcommittee before advertising and filling such position. If, after ten (10) days from the time notice is given to the Teacher Welfare Committee, no agreement is reached, the School Division may proceed to fill the position with the understanding that the amount of the allowance will be on the bargaining table at the next round of salary negotiations.

Administrator Allowances and Conditions of Practice. 4.1 Creation of New Designations 4.1.1 Any new position/designation not specified in the Collective Agreement, to which a teacher will be designated and an allowance paid, shall have the allowance for the new position/designation determined through negotiation with the Negotiating Subcommittees of the Employer and the Association. This process shall occur prior to the creation, advertisement, and filling of said position. New positions/designations are identified as any other than the following: Principals, Division Principals, Alternative Program Principals, Vice-Principals, Assistant Principals, Directors, Coordinators, Department Heads and Lead Teachers.
