DISABILITY LEAVE FOR OTHER EMPLOYMENT. Anything in this Memorandum of Understanding to the contrary notwithstanding, any person who, because of sickness or injury, is incapable of performing his/her work or duties in the service of the County but who is nevertheless capable of performing other work or duties outside the service of the County may, within the discretion of the Agency/Department Head, be granted sick leave of absence without pay during such disability to accept such employment.

  • Disability Leave a. An employee who has suffered possible injury in the performance of assigned duties shall immediately undergo such medical examination as the appointing authority deems necessary. He/she shall not be considered absent from duty during the time required for such examination.
