Common use of Discretionary Training Clause in Contracts

Discretionary Training. An employee wishing to attend a training course, seminar or conference based upon mutual agreement between the Employer and the Employee where both parties would benefit from the training will receive pay at the straight time rate. No overtime will be accrued or charged for attendance or for travel to and from the training course, seminar or conference. The Employer will pay the course costs and travel expenses in accordance with Corporate Travel Policy.
