Distribution of Overtime. Management will attempt to assign overtime work as equitably as possible among all qualified employees in the same classification, in the same organizational unit and work location. However, Management may consider special skills required to perform particular work. No employee shall work overtime without prior approval from his or her supervisor. FLSA non-exempt employees may not work outside of scheduled working hours, or during unpaid meal periods, without the prior approval of a supervisor, consistent with department policy. Failure to secure prior approval may result in discipline. Working and not recording the time is similarly prohibited.
