Doctor and Dental Appointments. This Section applies to employees hired before July 1, 2016. A full-time employee shall be allowed up to 10 hours each year, not charged against paid time off/vacation time, for doctor and dental appointments. Time spent at doctor and dental appointments in excess of the 10 hours provided herein shall be deducted from the employee’s paid time off/vacation time. The employee must submit a signed verification from the doctor/dentist substantiating the appointment.

Doctor and Dental Appointments. Doctor and dental appointments constitute proper use of sick leave allowance when related to a current illness or disability. It is understood that whenever possible such appointments should be scheduled during non-school hours.
Doctor and Dental Appointments. 11.2.1 Up to twenty-four (24) hours annually in non-accumulative hours in appointments may be allowed for doctor and dental appointments. Leave for this purpose can be taken in 30 minute to daily increments. Hours in excess of 24 hours shall be deducted from sick leave. Two days prior approval from the unit member’s supervisor/designee is required for doctor or dental appointments except in cases of emergency. Denial shall not be arbitrary or capricious.

  • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.
